These durable luggage tags are made from re-used juice packs from the Philippines. The packaging comprises non-biodegradable foil and plastic that would otherwise go into landfill sites and incinerators.

They are made by a women’s cooperative, near Manila as part of an environmental project with the aim of ‘cleaning and greening’ the local neighbourhood.

Never wanting to shy away from a challenge we set to work to find some eco friendly yarn for her.

We found a lovely website called Rainbow Silks which stocks Lion Brand organic cotton yarn and some organic cornish wool too.

A. You could try a U.K based company called Eco-Crafts, they have a glue which is solvent and acid free. For a truly biodegradable glue you could make an old fashioned solution made from flour and water.
